Military, Defense Ministry and American construction officials denied a report in the Los Angeles Times that delays in construction of new Israeli air bases in the Negev to replace those to be evacuated in the Sinai would endanger Israel’s air security and might cause delays in the evacuation from Sinai due to be completed by next April. But they could move into housing put up at the start of work, to house the construction workers.
