Eric Mills, Assistant Chief Secretary of the Palestine government and Acting Chief Secretary during the Palestine riots of 1929, has been appointed Director of the Immigration Department, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned today. The appointment of Mills will be confirmed officially this week and he will assume the post on May 1, it was stated.
Mills succeeds Albert Montefiore Hyamson, Jewish director of the immigration department since 1924.
