A Milton Kahn Chair in Community Organization at Brandeis University’s new Florence Heller Graduate School for Advanced Studies in Social Welfare has been established in honor of the 70th birthday of the Boston philanthropist and civic leader.
More than 600 community leaders, businessmen and industrialists from all parts of the United States gathered here to honor Mr. Kahn, who was characterized by Sen. Leverett Saltonstall as a “humanitarian in the deepest, most personal sense of the word.” Sen. Saltonstall was the keynote speaker at the dinner honoring Mr. Kahn.
