Harry V. Meissner was elected president of the Milwaukee school board for a two-year term. Mr. Meissner has been a member of the board since 1924 and served as president from 1932 to 1934. He is active in Jewish communal affairs.
Dr. Edward T. Thompson, if Chicago, has been named superintendent of Mount Sinai Hospital. He succeeds L. C. Austin, who resigned to become superintendent of Menorah Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
