Minister of Religious Affairs Aharon Abu-Hatzeira, told the Knesset that he plans to submit a bill to create a Mount of Olives Authority in order to develop and preserve the historic hill. His announcement came after Rabbi Yehuda Meir Abramowitz, an Agudath Israel MK, charged that terrorist groups were using the Mount of Olives cemetery by night while Arab shepherds were using it by day as a grazing ground.
