‘Full Satifaction’ Demanded in Memorandum to Chancellor Marx (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)

The anti-Semitic propaganda of Herr Keudell, member of the German federal government, has been brought to an issue between the Prussian government and the Reich.

Keudell, in an address before the Aryan Students Organization recently, attacked the Prussian Minister of Education Becker for his liberal attitude toward the Jews. Keudell disavowed Becker as an Aryan.

In a memorandum submitted by Prussian Prime Minister Braun to Chancellor Marx, the Prime Minister demands, in the name of the Prussian cabinet, that Keudell give Becker “the fullest satisfaction.”

The incident has aroused great interest in Republican and liberal circles in Germany.

Keudell is a member of the anti-Semitic Deutschnazionale party. He was recently involved in another in cident because of his anti-Semitic propaganda. The Reichsrat ordered him to make a formal apology to Hermann Badt, Ministerial Director of the Prussian government and a member of the Reichsrat, whom he accused of having been indiscreet in making public the proceedings of a secret session of the Reichsrat. The Reichsrat unanimously decided that Keudell’s accusation was without foundation.
