The eradication of racial and religious bias was advocated here last night by Minnesota’s Governor Luther Youngdahl in an address to the National Conference of Catholic Charities.
Gov. Youngdahl cited the benefits derived by all sections of the population in the efforts to find new homes for displaced persons who have arrived in this country. “The DP program has given us many benefits,” he said, adding that an “important value has been the opportunity to have Catholic, Protestant and Jewish people working together for a common cause and thus learning to know and respect one another more.”
