German minorities in Rumania and minorities in Rumania and Hungary are felling, together with the Jews, the effects of a law which, if passed by the two countries, will debar them from employment on the ground that they are not nationals.
German protests are loud and long, but true to form they make no mention of the Jews in a like predicament.
Large private factories, acting in the spirit of the proposed law, are not hesitating to remove Jewish employees and replacing them with “pure Rumanians.” Applicants for the new positions which are sometimes open in these factories are turned away if they are Jewish.
