Voluntary Jewish searchers led the police last night to a spot in the neighbourhood of the colony of Herzlia, where the bodies of the Jewish boy and girl, Stahl and Zohar, who disappeared several months ago after leaving Tel Aviv on a walking tour, have been buried ever since their disappearance, having been murdered, as was feared at the time.
Five Bedouin suspects were arrested, and according to a report, unconfirmed as yet, which has reached Mr. Spicer, the Palestine Police Commandant, three of them have confessed.
The police have never relinquished their efforts to try to unravel the mystery of their disappearance, the Police Commandant, Mr. Spicer, said to the J.T.A. here to-day. Only last week, he said, police headquarters were in conference, eliminating all the false trails which have concentrated in the region of the Rivers Audja and Yarkon.
The information concerning the spot where the bodies were buried and the identity of the murderers was supplied by the Bedouin tribe themselves at a price finally agreed on yesterday, the J.T.A. understands, and since then the discovery of the bodies and the arrests were expected at any hour.
