More than 8 percent of all Jewish marriages in the province of Ontario are mixed, it is reported in an article published in the Saturday Night, a weekly magazine.
Two-thirds of the mixed marriages consist of Jewish men marrying non-Jewish women, the article said. This is explained by the fact that Jewish men work in offices where they constantly come in contact with non-Jewish women, whereas Jewish girls work mostly in Jewish offices.
