A fund amounting to more than $500, 000 was authorized by the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America today to sustain its network of social welfare institutions in Israel for disadvantaged children. The sum was voted at the organization’s midwinter conference here, attended by 400 leaders of the organization from nine eastern seaboard states and the District of Columbia.
Reports on simultaneous surveys conducted in Israel and the United States during the past five weeks on Israel’s current social welfare needs, and the role of U.S. voluntary organizations in meeting them, were presented by Mrs. Eli Resnikoff of Brooklyn, and Mrs. Max Sacks of Ramat Gan, Israel.
