Expansion of their activities both on behalf of Palestine and the war effort of the United States was decided upon by the 500 delegates assembled at the closing session today of the 17th annual convention of the Mizrachi Women’s Organization of America meeting at the Henry Hudson hotel here.
A series of resolutions adopted by the convention authorized a vast increase in their budget for Palestine projects; adopted a quota of $1,000,000 for war bonds on top of the $500,000 raised during the past year; demanded the creation of a Jewish army and the establishment of a Jewish commonwealth in Palestine after the war; decided to complete the Mizrachi Women’s Forest of 10,000 trees in Palestine; pledged increased support to the Jewish National Fund and voted to extend its national membership drive through next April.
