Henry Montor, former executive head of the Israel bond drive in the United States, joined the board of the Japhet Bank here, it was announced today by the bank. Majority control of the bank was acquired recently by a group of foreign investors of whom Mr. Montor is a member. The group has increased the capital of the bank to 1,000,000 Israeli pounds and $1,000,000.
Other members of the group are Messrs. David Dunsky, president of the South African Zionist Federation in Israel; Sam Dubiner, principal owner of the Jerusalem Pencil Factory; Chaim Teichman, prominent Tel Aviv lawyer and economist; Dr. Beno Sterberg, executive director of the Foreign Investors Association and Nathan Lee, director of SYCO contracting firm.
