Bernard M. Bloomfield, president of the Canadian Association for Labor Israel, was presented tonight with the Histadrut Humanitarian Award for his public service on behalf of Israel and the Histadrut, Israel’s Labor Federation.
The presentation was made at the 41st annual Histadrut dinner, which climaxed the Montreal Histadrut campaign for $350,000. The bulk of the proceeds will be used for scholarships for Israeli students in Histadrut-sponsored vocational and trade schools in Israel.
