“What Approach to Religion Serves Best the Modern Jewish Youth?” is to be the subject of a symposium tonight at the Kingsbridge Heights Jewish Center’s forum, 124 Eames Place, Bronx.
Manning H. Bleich, president of the Collegiate Branch of Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations, will uphold the Orthodox viewpoint. Paul Abrams, representative of the Young People’s League, will defend the Conservative movement, and Bernard Klein, chairman of the debating committee of the Young People’s League, will advocate more radical movements in the Jewish religion.
Ruth Gordon has been engaged by The Theatre Guild for an important role in “They Shall Not Die”, the John Wexley play based on the Scottsboro case, which goes into rehearsal today under the direction of Philip Moeller. Miss Gordon was last seen here in “Three Cornered Moon.” Her only previous engagement with the Guild was in “Hotel Universe” by Philip Barry.
