The removal of a number of immigration restrictions has made possible the entry of a larger number of Jewish immigrants in recent months, Jerry Segall, president of the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society, said here. Appealing for jobs for Sabbath-observing immigrants, Mr. Segall said that the problem of finding employment for religious Jews is most serious.

The Canadian Jewish Congress meanwhile, has announced that some 120 of 300 Jewish refugees from Shanghai who came to this country in 1949 to await permission to enter the United States have decided to remain in this country. Permanent residence in Canada for these people has been arranged by the Congress with officials of the Dominion Department of Immigration.
