The overwhelming majority of the more than 1, 000 doctors who have arrived in Israel during the past three years are practicing their profession, Health Minister Yehuda Barzilai reported to the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament. He said some 800 were employed by sick funds, clinics and various hospitals and most of the others were engaged in private practice.
