More than 1,500 Israeli reserve officers and soldiers urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to pursue peace with the Palestinians rather than expand West Bank settlements. A government policy aimed at settlement expansion at the price of peace “will arouse doubts in our hearts about the justice of our course,” they wrote in a full-page advertisement published in the Israeli daily Yediot Achronot. The Prime Minister’s Office said it had not received a copy of the letter and had no immediate response.
