More than 70 percent of Americans polled believe there should be more racial, cultural and religious diversity throughout society. But a smaller percentage valued diversity in the places where they live, work and worship. The poll of 1,000 adults was conducted earlier this month on behalf of the National Conference for Community and Justice, formerly the National Conference of Christians and Jews.
