Henry Morgenthau, Jr., general chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, returned today from Israel with the warning that the failure of American Jews to provide adequate funds through the United Jewish Appeal may doom the many thousands of Jews in Arab lands “to live out their lives under abject suffering and poverty.” He said that “the Jews of Israel will not stand for any limitation of immigration.”
