Mormon church leaders again agreed to end the church’s practice of posthumously baptizing Holocaust victims and other Jews. The pledge came at a meeting Monday in Salt Lake City, when a delegation of five Jews also agreed with a group of leaders from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to establish a committee to explore issues related to the practice, known as proxy baptism.
