A provisional Association of Moroccan Jews now living in France announced today it planned to call a mass meeting next month of all Moroccan Jews in France to form a permanent association and elect officials.
The provisional association was established by a number of one-time leaders of Moroccan Jewry. They said the new association will cooperate closely with French Jewry in defending the rights of its members. The new association will coordinate its efforts with existing French Jewish organizations, particularly the Fonds Social Juif Unifie, the major Jewish social welfare organization.
