Meanwhile it was reported today that Mayer Toledano, a local Jewish attorney, has been dismissed from his post as vice-president of the Casablanca Municipal Council. A letter informing Mr. Toledano of his dismissal from the Council, gave no reason for the move.

Mr. Toledano, who was honorary chairman of the Moroccan section of the World Jewish Congress, had served as his country’s commercial counsellor at the Moroccan Embassy in Washington and was formerly director of the Moroccan Ministry of National Economy.
