The festival and reception held here by the Jewish community to celebrate the beginning of the work of rebuilding the Jewish ghetto marked an important step in the direction of unity between Jews and Moslems.
A procession through the ghetto was headed by the Pasha of Rabat, Siab Derachman, by the French authorities here and by Isaac Abbon, president of the Jewish community.
