Mortar and Bazooka Shells Fall on Israelis in Golan, Beisan; No Injuries Reported

Mortar and bazooka shells were fired last night at Israeli positions and patrols in the Golan Heights and Beisan Valley. No casualties or damage was reported. Israeli units returned the fire.

A Beduin border policeman died in a Jerusalem hospital yesterday of wounds he suffered in a surprise attack by terrorists in Batir village on Saturday. The victim was Mohammed Zbeidat, 25, a member of a Bedouin tribe living near Nazareth. He was a member of a police patrol ambushed by grenade throwing terrorists who escaped in the dark. All members of the patrol were wounded.
