The case of Maurice Moscovitch, Jewish actor and American citizen, brought to restrain a libel in a book just published, entitled “Letters of an Unsuccessful Actor”, has been settled. The publisher has agreed to insert a slip in all copies of the book correcting an allegation that Moscovitch is
a German named Rosen and that he had taken the name Moscovitch in order that it might appear that he is of Russian origin. The slip will state that the publisher regrets any inconvenience to Moscovitch. Reference in the Index will be blotted out and in future editions everything referring to Moscovitch will be omitted.
