Moscow Authorities Seize 4th Activist

The Moscow authorities have picked up another Jewish activist who refused to report for an Army Reserve call-up on grounds that It was aimed at stifling protest. The activist, Samuel Gurevitz, Joins Victor Yakhout, Mikhail Kliachkin and Leonid Tsypin in the authorities’ hands, sources here said today. Meanwhile, according to Jewish sources, Yakhout and Kliachkin are being held by the Moscow authorities and have been sent to separate military camps for 65 days’ detention. Tsypin remains at the police station without formal charges against him. The sources said that the law permitted detentions in military camps for up to two months
