Dr. Joseph A. Rosen, head of the Agrojoint, the agency of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, was honored by the Moscow Kehillah in recognition of his activity in behalf of Russian Jewry.
The Kehillah voted yesterday to place a portrait of Dr. Rosen in the Council Chamber of the Kehillah as an expression of Russian Jewry’s highest esteem and gratitude to the head of the Agro-joint.
The Kehillah has instructed the Executive Committee to acquire a portrait of Dr. Rosen painted by Vermel.
The resolution adopted enumerates the activities carried on by Dr. Rosen at personal sacrifice, which have earned the gratitude of Russian Jews.
