Moscow Jews Attend Rosh Hashanah Services; Buy Calendars

More than 500 worshipers filled Moscow’s Central Synagogue for Rosh Hashanah services, hundreds more spilling into the synagogue lobbies and the street outside the building, it was reported here today from Moscow. Lay officials of the Jewish community sold Jewish calendars in a brisk trade before the start of the Rosh Hashanah services. The calendars are printed in Hebrew and Russian.
