Moshe Shamir has been named the winner of this year’s “Bialik Award” for literature presented by the Tel Aviv municipality. Shamir is the author of “Melech Bassar Vedam” and the drama, “Milchemet Bnai Or,” Named as winners of the award for Jewish learning were Michael Avi Yona and Shmuel Yeivin for their book, “Antiquities of Israel.”
