A congress of Moslems living in Europe will be held in Geneva, as soon as it can be organized, according to the “Tribune of the Orient,” an Egyptian paper appearing here.
The publication says that there are 7,000,000 Moslems living in Europe and the plan is to unite them on a program of activity in the spirit of Islam. The project had the approval of the Moslem Congress called by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem at the end of 1931, the paper points out.
Mahmoud Salem Bey, former judge in the “Mixed Tribunals” in Egypt, has been delegated to organize the congress and has spent recent months travelling in various countries in this connection.
