The Daily Herald reports from Jerusalem today that Arab extremists in Palestine plan to organize a holy war of Moslems against Jews at this year’s Mecca pilgrimage.
According to the Herald’s correspondent, the Grand Mufti, Haj Amin el Husseini, has asked King Ibn Saud of Saudi Arabia to summon a conference of Moslem leaders during the pilgrimage to discuss the Palestine situation.
Ibn Saud is reported to have rejected the suggestion, replying that he would not mix religion with politics. The Grand Mufti, however, is said to have determined to call the conference despite Ibn Saud’s attitude.
