Most American voters support an independent Palestinian state, according to a Zogby International poll. The survey, commissioned by the Arab American Institute, also found that 74 percent of the respondents believe Palestinian refugees have a right to return to Israel, and 63 percent believe President Clinton has handled the Middle East peace process well.
