Only 21 percent of Canada’s population is in favor of large-scale immigration from Europe, according to a survey by the Canadian Institute of Public Opinion.
To the question “Would you like to see a large number of people from the European continent migrate to Canada or not?” sixty-one percent said No, while eight percent were undecided and ten percent qualified their vote. The province of Quebec is not only opposed to European immigration but to immigration from the British Isles as well.
