Orthodox Synagogues in New York City and a number of Jewish welfare and fraternal organizations united yesterday at the institutional Synagogue, 37 W. 116th Street, in urging that an effort be made to bring the Jewish war orphans of Europe to this country. A committee was named to ask President Harding to lend his influence to the plan.
Presiding Justice Aaron J. Levy of the Municipal Court was chosen President of the Hebrew Orphan House to succeed Mr. Reich. Representative Isaac Seigel of the Twentieth Congressional District presented Mr. Reich with a silver loving cup in behalf of the Board of Directors of the orphanage.
