That Palestine is making marked progress towards becoming the national Homeland of the Jewish people, was declared by Israel Unterberg, president of the Jewish Education Association, who returned recently from an extended trip in Europe and Palestine.

Mr. Unterberg gave his impressions on Palestine at a dinner given in his honor by his associates of the Jewish Education Association on Wednesday. About 250 workers of the Jewish Education Association attended.

“I believe.” said Mr. Unterberg, “that I may best summarize the impressions which I have received during my trip in Europe and Palestine, by saying that there are today only two countries on God’s earth, which offer some measure of happiness to Jews — Palestine and the United States. It is rather regrettable that this country has closed its doors to the millions of our suffering brethren in Europe. But since this is the case. Palestine is today the only country that is left for them, the only country where they may find an opportunity to work, and to live happily and peacefully.”
