The sum of $100,000 is bequeathed to Jewish charitable institutions in the will of the late Mrs. Alice Goldschmidt Sachs.

Mrs. Sachs, who was the wife of Arthur Sachs, left an estate valued at $5,147,745 net. She was one of the few American women to be made a member of the Legion of Honor in recognition of her aid to French artists, writers and musicians.

The executors of her estate were directed to distribute the $100,000 fund as they saw fit and they have granted equal shares to the Montefiore Hospital for Chronic Diseases, Mount Sinai Hospital, the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies and the Henry Street Settlement.
