Mrs. A. Lincoln Filene of Boston, patron of music and philanthropist, and George Gershwin, composer, are among those who have contributed to the scholarship fund being raised for students to study with Arnold Schoenberg, internationally known musician and teacher, who is an exile from Germany. Mr. Schoenberg is coming here next month to teach at the newly-organized Malkin Conservatory in Boston.
Mrs. Filene’s contribution is to be known as the A. Lincoln Filene Scholarship and will be given to a worthy American composer.
