Palestine, as seen less than a month ago after an absence of several years, was described by Mrs. Samuel W. Halprin, national president of Hadassah, during last night’s regular weekly broadcast of the Jewish Daily Bulletin over Station WEVD. Herman Bernstein, editor of the Bulletin, introduced the speaker.

Commenting on the “amazingly rapid development” of the Holy Land, Mrs. Halprin declared:: “Non-Jews as well as Jews everywhere recognize the tragedy of the Jewish position and the need for a constructive answer to the problem of Jewish homelessness. In Palestine the Jewish community is engaged in the task of rebuilding a home, a task for which it received the official sanction of the world seventeen years ago, when fifty-two leading nations endorsed the Balfour Declaration issued by Great Britain.”

Both spiritually and economically the position of Palestine has been strengthened appreciably, according to Mrs. Halprin.
