Mrs. Henrietta G. Blaustein, widow of Louis Blaustein and mother of Jacob Blaustein, prominent American Jewish leader, died here yesterday at the age of 95. Born in Riga, Mrs. Blaustein came to the United States when she was 14 years old and was married to the late Mr. Blaustein in 1891.
After her husband’s death in 1937, Mrs. Blaustein continued his philanthropy to many Jewish causes. She was also a major donor to the Blaustein Building for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sinai Hospital here and the Blaustein Auditorium at Cheb Shalom Congregation.
