Mrs. Juliette Adam, author and magazine writer, noted for the literary lights she attracted to her salon in the late nineteenth century, died today. She was 99 years old. A one-hundredth birthday celebration was being planned for Oct. 4.
She was born Juliette Lamber, the daughter of a physician. In 1856, she married Senator Edmond Adam, Police Prefect of Paris. Her works included several autobiographies. Mrs. Adam was credited with having discovered many noted writers, including Pierre Loti and Leon Daudet.
