Mrs. Muriel L. Nirenstein, active in Jewish education, cultural and philanthropic endeavors, died here yesterday at the age of 55. Mrs. Nirenstein was the wife of Dr. Samuel Nirenstein, a lawyer and former president of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America. She was a former chairman of the cultural committee of the Fifth Avenue Synagogue, and was national sponsor of the women’s branch of the UOJC. She was also active in work for the Hebrew Teachers Training School for Girls, the Teachers Institute for Women of Yeshiva University, and Boys Town of Jerusalem.
