Mrs. Rebecca Sieff resigned last night from the presidency of the World WIZO, the Women’s International Zionist Organization, a post she held for the past 42 years. The announcement of her resignation came as a surprise to the hundreds of WIZO leaders attending a world plenary session held at Sokelow House here.
Mrs. Rosa Ginossar, who was recommended by Mrs. Sieff for the post, was unanimously elected the new president. Mrs. Ginossar was formerly chairman of the world executive of WIZO. Mrs. Sieff explained that her decision to step down was prompted by reasons of health.
