Acknowledgement of a gift of $50,000 from the late Mrs. Julius Rosenwald, was made by the Chicago Symphony Orchestral Association. The gift was received from Mrs. Rosenwald a few days before her death. Coming after the close of the last concert season, acknowledgment was made on the opening of the new season.
