Mrs. Zena Harman, of Israel, was elected first. ice-chairman of the United Nations Children’s Fund for the year 1957. She was chosen without opposition at the year s first meeting of the executive board of UNICEF. Mrs Harman has been very active in the work of UNICEF for several years.
