Naftali Buchwald, Jewish writer and member of the editorial staff of the Jewish Daily Freiheit, died yesterday of a heart attack at the age of 66. Born in the Ukraine, he came to the United States in 1910 and after graduating from New York University joined the editorial staff of the Jewish Daily Forward. Later, he left the Forward for the Freiheit. He wrote chiefly on Jewish theatre, but also reviewed events in Jewish life. Last year he visited Israel.
