New Jersey Zionist leaders are planning to present a check for $100,000 when the president of the World Zionist Organization will visit here on May 17. The decision to tender a state reception to Dr. Weizmann was taken at a conference presided over by Philip J. Schotland, state chairman of the United Palestine Appeal. Of the $100,000 the sum of $50,000 will be subscribed in Newark.
A local campaign to raise $110,000 for the U.P.A. will commence here simultaneous with the visit of Dr. Weizmarm. Last year the sum of $100,000 was raised in Newark.
