A resolution calling on Congress to double the number of displaced persons permitted to enter this country by assigning unused quotas from 1940-1944, was introduced into the State Legialeture today by Assemblyman Lashin, Democrat.

Lashin said that 634,140 persons could be admitted to the U.S. under his proposal. This would not be a larger number than would have gained entry, he said, “had the flow of immigration been normally continued during the war.”
