More than 1,800 women participated today in the formal opening of the 23rd annual campaign of the Women’s Division of the United Jewish Appeal of Greater New York by attending a round table discussion on the theme “Israel Tomorrow,” which was held in the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria.

Prior to the round table discussion, 1,000 of the women attended four simultaneous luncheons at the Waldorf, and announced personal contributions totaling $1,100,000 to the 1961 campaign of the United Jewish Appeal.
