The first American style rabbinical college in Israel will be opened in East Jerusalem by the Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva of New York City. Ninety-five students and faculty members and their families arrived here today to take up temporary quarters in the Sanhedria section until the yeshiva’s buildings are completed. The project is receiving assistance from the Jewish Agency and the Israel Government. The Chofetz Chaim Yeshiva will require all of its students to spend at least one year of study on the Jerusalem campus.
